Our Safari driver guide will pick you from
your hotel in Diani at 10.30 (9.00am for pick from Mombasa
hotels and drive to Kutazama Lodge) to begin your excursion.
The essence of this day tour is sight seeing and relaxation -
You will spend the day swimming and sunbathing by the Kutazama
Lodge's swimming pool, marveling at the Mwaluganje
elephant sanctuary, enjoying the superb panoramic views of the
Shimba Hills and the surrounding meandering river valleys, and if you
are lucky - you may catch a glimpse of Mount Kilimanjaro peaks
on a clear day.
Animal lovers will enjoy game viewing, be it
watching the grand elephants of the Mwalughanje Sanctuary or
getting a glimpse of primates around the area. Abundant bird
life in the area along with vast number of butterflies promises
to be another fun-filled event. You will then
enjoy a memorable sundowner taking in the beauty of nature and
enjoying the music of the birds and sounds of the forest before
driving back to your hotel. About Kutazama Lodge

Hills, 30 minutes from Diani Beach, on an escarpment
overlooking the Mwaluganje Elephant Sanctuary and has
spectacular views over uninhabited plains and forests,
stretching as far as Tanzania and Mount Kilimanjaro. The lodge
construction is unique, being built into the side of the
escarpment and much of it is open with huge thatch roofs and
wonderful views from each room.
