Jahazi Marine Evening Dhow Cruise - MombasaThe Mombasa by Night Sundowner Dhow Cruise begins when you are collected by our safari driver guide who will take you to the pier at the Jahazi Marine where you will board an authentic Arab dhow and then set sail. On board local musicians will entertain you, as biting and drinks are served you will also have great views of of Mombasa's Old Port and parts of the Mombasa old town. After docking our guide will lead you on walk through the historic Mombasa Old Town to the 400 year old fortress of Fort Jesus. Built by the Portuguese as a stronghold at the entrance to the harbour, the ancient fort is a stunning example of 16th century military architecture that has survived centuries of attack and conquest. Upon reaching Fort Jesus you will be welcomed by Portuguese and Arab fire-bearers before witnessing a dazzling sound and light show that is followed by a sumptuous dinner served alfresco within the ramparts of the Fort for a truly unforgettable dining experience.
